You Are a Wildlife Warrior! Saving Animals & The Planet

Bindi Irwin is a passionate wildlife conservationist, daughter of Wildlife Warriors Steve and Terri Irwin, who has inherited her parents’ love for wildlife and wild places. Ramona Kaulitzki is the illustrator of Sisters First, Badger’s Perfect Garden, and Wonderful You. She  blends digital and analog techniques in her illustrations and her art is inspired by nature, animals, seasons, and stories of all kind.

They have combined their talents to create a sweet picture book encouraging young children to love and care for animals. The simple descriptive rhyming text is complemented by plentiful charming illustrations which present Bindi and her daughter Grace taking a stroll through Australia Zoo.  Six ‘Did You Know’ sections, comprising brief fact filled sentences are scattered throughout, e.g. the Zoo Wildlife hospital does sterling work treating over 10,000 per year.

This is a lovely souvenir if you have visited Australa Zoo and its message of caring for all animals will appeal to many children.
