Here is another popular children’s classic picture book made available as a board book. This perennial favourite first appeared in 1989 and has spawned a series of follow up adventures for the intrepid Mr McGee, including Mr McGee and his Hat and many more.
Since her first publication in 1980, Pamela Allen’s picture books have enchanted generations of children around the world, and have garnered a glittering array of awards and commendations.
Her books are notable for the musical quality of the text, the effortless rhyme showcasing the zany humour that has immediate appeal to children.
Here Mr McGee eats an apple skin which causes him to grow and grow until he floats up into the sky. He enjoys flying around until a bird pecks him sharply and and he fizzes back down to the ground through the tree onto his bed.
This sturdy board book format will ensure it has a long and happy life in hands of little ones.
