Written in vibrant, bouncing verse, the story follows a little bear who has just entered the crayon phase of its life. Most likely, it has been inspired as a mother watches her child explore its surroundings during the day and written it down, something all parents could do but could we all translate that into a charming picture book like this?

The illustrations are drawn as comical caricatures, using gouache and, of course, crayon. They bring a sense of free creativity to the book. Let’s hope children don’t see themselves in this household adventure, but they probably will and will also enjoy the guilty fun it shares.
