What is this book about?

This book is about a kid who doesn’t really want to play sports, but his mum makes him find a team sport to join. He gets a flash back of when he threw a paper ball into a moving tray 25 meters away. So, he thinks maybe basketball is his sport. When he tries it out, hilarious things happen.

Who is your favourite character?

My favourite character is Greg.

Describe them and tell us why you like them.

He’s very skinny and a bit short but he’s really funny and does weird things. Like when he threw the basketball backwards and it went in!

What was the most interesting/exciting/suspenseful moment in the story?

When Slacksville, Greg’s opposing team, got 101 points, they could only fit two digits on the scoreboard. So, it looked like they had 01 point and Greg’s team had 2 points. That made Greg’s team play like crazy, and it felt like they could win. They went back on defensive, but Slacksville still won by scoring a layup.

Did this story make you laugh/cry/throw it across the room?

It was so funny, I laughed out loud.

Would you have changed anything in the story and why?

No

To whom would you recommend this book?

Anyone who doesn’t like sports but someone in their family wants them to play.

Did you like the illustrations?

Yes. Love it. Amazing

How many stars out of five?
