Mr Pegg’s Post

Anna is an only child who lives with her parents in a lighthouse on a tiny island off the Mediterranean coast. Whilst living in a lighthouse might sound exciting, it wasn’t. Anna was lonely and the only visitor was Mr Pegg the Pelican postman. Anna hoped that one day she might receive a letter but Mr. Pegg only delivered letters to her parents. One stormy afternoon Mr Pegg landed on the island with an injured wing. Anna volunteered to help him deliver his mail. Her kindness is rewarded and she eventually gets her wish.
This is a delightful little story explaining how letter writing can connect you to people in far away places. The illustrations are simple and yet the soft water colours transport you across the aqua seas to the Greek Isles.
