So you can imagine Lily’s surprise when she wakes up to discover that JJ can TALK and is SUPER SMART. In fact, he might have the smartest brain in the whole wide world! Features a lenticular animated cover and bonus stickers.
Who is your favourite character? My favourite character is JJ (the dog) because he was a small, forgotten, clumsy dog and then one day he became a really smart dog in one night.
What was the most interesting/exciting/suspenseful moment in the story? The most interesting part of the story was when there was a big storm and the next day Lily (the owner of JJ) came to JJ’s kennel and he wasn’t there. She looked in the shed and found JJ sitting on a chair, reading a book.
Did this story make you laugh/cry/ throw it across the room? This story made me laugh when Lily’s dad rushed to the school gate, practically skipping.
Would you have changed anything in the story and why?No, because it is already super perfect as it is.
Would you recommend this book to anyone?I would recommend this book to people who are in prep to grade three. Also, to people who love dogs.
Is there anything else you want to say about this book? Anh Do’s books are so realistic they make me feel like I am actually with Lily or JJ.
How many hearts out of five? Five out of five.♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
